MASTERCLASS: “Choreographing the Frame” with Damien Jalet
FREE ENTRY | RESERVATION REQUIRED
Language: English

A very special masterclass that analyzes, explores, and “choreographs” the intrinsic connection between dance and cinema. The great and innovative choreographer Damien Jalet has collaborated creatively with some of the most important names in the international arts scene, including Paul Thomas Anderson, Jacques Audiard, Luca Guadagnino, Alice Rohrwacher, Xavier Dolan, as well as Madonna, JR, Thomas Bangalter, Marina Abramović, Kohei Nawa, among others. In 2022, he was named a Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government.

During the masterclass, Jalet will share his unique methodology and personal vision of choreography for cinema. Through film excerpts and rare rehearsal material, he will open a window into his creative process, guiding actors and dancers in the precision of movement and in revealing the interpretive and narrative power that the body holds on stage and on screen.
